TURBOJETTER HEADBOX SUCCESSFULLY IN OPERATION AT ASIA PAPER SHIWA IN KOREA
Bellmer TurboJetter headbox has been successfully started up at Asia Paper Shiwa PM1 in Korea. The delivery was based on repeat order after a successful start-up of a similar headbox two years ago. The 5,95 m wide 4-ply-liner board machine is originally of Valmet supply. The max. speed of the machine is 870 m/min and annual production can reach 280 000 tons. The mill is located in greater capital region of Seoul. Asia Paper MFG Co. is leading Korean packaging board manufacturer. Over the years, the company strengthened the position as the industry leader through expansion on linerboard, corrugated medium, gypsum board and kraft paper. Bellmer´s headbox technology is well-known within Asia Paper – the esteemed customer operates at Chongwon mill two dilution control retrofit headboxes supplied from the very same Bellmer Finland Hollola workshop.

On site operations were managed by Bellmer´s start-up engineer Tomi Koskenmäki, automation engineer Nikolai Primakov and installation supervisor Risto Hasu. The TurboJetter transforms fibers, fines and water into an excellent formation on the wire section of any paper machine. The step diffusers are designed to provide special turbulent shear forces. In addition, perfect deflocculation of the stock suspension ensures excellent sheet formation.
