Cardiac complications after SARS-CoV-2 infection or mRNA COVID-19 vaccination are low overall but higher after infection than after vaccination, according to an analysis of electronic health record data from 40 health care systems released today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The authors said the findings support continued use of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for all eligible people aged 5 and older.
