Electrolux's US Frigidare brand announces offering of Frigidaire Classic Slate Upright Freezer, featuring more storage space, frost-free operation

– Extra storage space and organization means families spend less time and money at the store and more time at home where it matters most
When it comes to savings, research shows a Frigidaire Upright or Chest Freezer that costs $769 or less can pay for itself in less than one year, saving families valuable time and money (approximately $88 a month). In looking at consumer's attitudes and behaviors around food storage, Frigidaire found that approximately 60 percent of consumers said they don't have enough storage capacity in their refrigerator's freezer2 and are making numerous trips to the grocery store each week. The new Frigidaire Classic Slate Upright Freezer combats these issues and more while providing extra storage space and simple organization for easy access to the families' favorite meals.
According to the Frigidaire study, which focused on the shopping habits of chest and upright freezer owners, the average consumer who own a secondary freezer makes 1 ½ less trips each month to the grocery store and saves an average of 60 hours per year by making fewer trips to the grocery store. Overall, those who own a secondary freezer say it allows them to stock up on family favorite foods, and the extra storage space lets them take advantage of sales and buying in bulk.
"Time and time again, we have heard through consumer research that families ultimately want to find products that help them save time and money. Owning a secondary freezer achieves both by offering additional storage space and organization features that store greater amounts of food and make items easier to find," said John Weinstock, Senior Vice President Marketing for Electrolux Major Appliances in North America. "Once consumers purchase a freezer, their lifestyle changes for the better, especially their shopping habits and budgets."
