First paper mill in Sudan to be established by Egypt's Chamber of Printing Industries in partnership with Sudan, at cost of 800M Egyptian pounds

LOS ANGELES , March 27, 2014 () – Egypt and Sudan are working together to establish the first paper mill in Sudan, at a cost of 800 million Egyptian pounds (US$114.8 million), reported Zawya on March 23.

Representatives of the two countries came to an initial agreement on the sidelines at the Nile Print Expo 2014 in Khartoum, Sudan, March 17-20, said Khalid Abdo, chairman of Egypt’s Chamber of Printing Industries.

A delegation of businessmen from Sudan are expected to travel to Cairo, Egypt, in the next couple of weeks to discuss details for the joint-venture project.
