Total US containerboard production in February up 2% year-over-year, down 8% from January, but month-over-month average daily output up 1.9%; containerboard operating rate in February increases to 96.4% from 94.6% in January: AF&PA

– The American Forest & Paper Association has released its February 2014 U. S. Containerboard Statistics Report.
Containerboard production decreased 8 percent from January and was 2 percent higher compared to the same month last year. The month-over-month average daily production increased 1.9 percent. Shipments for February were 2,692.1 tons, representing 151.7 billions of square feet. The containerboard operating rate for February increased 1.8 points from January, from 94.6 percent to 96.4 percent.
