China's tissue paper industry forecast to expand rapidly with projected growth in tissue paper consumption in China; annual tissue paper products sales in China expected to rise by 15% annually during 2013-2017, reaching 433B yuan, according to report

In recent years, with fast economic growth and rising living standard of Chinese people, market capacity of tissue paper, especially high end tissue paper increased sharply. Annual consumption grew at around 8%. China has become second largest market for tissue paper in the world.

According to data expounded in the Report of 2013-2017 Tissue Paper Market Prediction and Investment Strategy Analysis, in 2011, there were 1427 sizeable tissue paper producers (each with annual sales of over 20 million yuan), which posted 162.445 billion yuan of sales revenue, jumping 27.51% year on year. Profits from sales were 19.573 billion yuan, surging 27.51% from same period 2010. Total profits were 9.851 billion yuan, jumping 33.32 % year on year. Some 224900 working staffs were employed, up 13.3% year on year. There were 132 paper firms that suffered losses to 532 million yuan, increasing 28.71% year on year.

Tissue paper sector will keep fast growth momentum along with the quick growth of consumption of tissue paper in China. Mid high end tissue paper and disposable hygienic paper will be spot light for tissue paper market. The brand and quality will be the focus on consumption and tissue paper product s will be more individualized.

Industrial experts estimated from 2013-2017, annual sales from tissue paper sector will row at over 15%. By 2017, the reading will be 433 billion yuan in sales income and total profits of the sector will hit 27.5 billion yuan.
