Hearst names Lisa Boyars, co-founder of Condé Nast Ideactive, executive director group marketing for Hearst Men's Group

NEW YORK , July 11, 2013 (press release) – The Hearst Men’s Group today announced that Lisa Boyars has been named to the position of executive director, group marketing. In her new role, Boyars – who comes from Conde Nast – will be responsible for the marketing teams of Car and Driver, Popular Mechanics and Road & Track. She joins Hearst on Monday, July 15, and will report to Men’s Group Associate Publisher and Group Marketing Director Jill Meenaghan.

Since 2007, Boyars has been working for Condé Nast Media Group, rising from integrated marketing director to senior director of client and marketing solutions. She was a co-founder of Condé Nast Ideactive, the company’s internal marketing services agency, where she helped to further the evolution of the company’s brands, specifically aligning them to new and evolving business models across paid, owned and earned distribution channels. Before that, she was associate director of merchandising and promotion at The New Yorker from 2005 to 2007 and, earlier in her career, she was a sales associate for Gourmet.
