Kraft Foods to lower US retail list price for its Gevalia coffee brand for second time in a year, lowering price for 12-oz. bag by 6% to US$7.89/bag following sustained declines in green coffee market

NEW YORK , May 3, 2013 () – Accordng to a company spokesman, Kraft Foods Group Inc. will lower the U.S. retail list price for its Gevalia coffee brand for the second time in a year, Thomson Reuters Corp. reported May 3.

Due to sustained declines in the green coffee market, beginning May 5 Kraft will cut its recommended retail price of its 12-ounce Gevalia retail bagged coffee by 6% to US$7.89 a bag.

Kraft previously discounted the coffee by 10% in May 2012. Gevalia Single Serve Cups, Gevalia e-commerce stock keeping units and Tassimo Gevalia T Discs are not included in the latest price decrease.
