Pennsylvania-based consolidator of specialty packaging manufacturers SupplyOne acquires Florida-based corrugated packaging and shipping supplies provider Melco

DEVON, Pennsylvania , December 31, 2012 (press release) – SupplyOne Inc., the Devon, Pennsylvania-based consolidator of specialty packaging manufacturers,and packaging equipment and supply distributors, announced today that it has acquired Melco, a full service provider of corrugated packaging and shipping supplies based in Clearwater, Florida.

Melco operates from three locations in the Clearwater and Orlando Florida markets. Melco’s capabilities are similar to SupplyOne’s in that both are manufacturers of corrugated products and distributors of packaging equipment and supplies. SupplyOne is also a manufacturer of custom pressure sensitive labels and plastic thermoformed products, which complement Melco’s product offering. Equally important are parallel marketing strategies, which feature customer driven solutions focused on vendor consolidation, improved operational efficiency and enhanced customer profitability.

Melco was founded in 1969, and purchased by Art and Jeanne Abbo in 1988, who will continue in their current capacities. Both have led Melco to become a recognized leader of packaging solutions focused on service, reliable expertise, and high quality packaging solutions. Melco has a strong, growing and diverse customer base.
