Danone looking to double its baby and medical nutrition business in India within four years, outpacing sector's current rate of growth of 15% to 20%, company official says

LOS ANGELES , October 1, 2012 () – A top official for Danone's baby and medicial nutrition business in India said the company plans to double its domestic business in the sector in three or years, Business Standard reported Sept. 30.

Danone Group firm Nutricia International Managing Director Laurent Marcel said the company should grow faster than the current market rate of 15% to 20%.

Danone entered the Indian sector upon acquiring the nutrition business of Wockhardt.
