U.S. fast-casual and quick-service restaurants chains have begun unveiling limited-time summer promotions and offers that feature innovative takes on classic flavors, QSR Magazine reported May 23.
Restaurant chains that are unveiling seasonal limited-time offers over the summer include:
• Cold Stone Creamery, which last year offered flavors such as Strawberry Basil, is planning to offer items featuring an innovative twist on classic flavors such as Cherry Vanilla Cherry Pie, which features cherry vanilla ice cream, cherry pie filling, graham crackers and caramel; and Malt My Heart With Chocolate, which includes chocolate malt ice cream, fudge, bananas and whipped topping. Both will be offered through Aug. 31.
• Smashburger is intending to unveil a number of promotions over the summer including the Wedge Club burger, which features an iceberg lettuce wedge, red onions, ripe tomatoes, applewood smoked bacon, blue cheese crumbles, blue cheese dressing and a toasted egg bun. The burger, which will be offered through June 4, will be given free to customers who purchase a membership for the chain’s Wedge Club.
