Celanese's engineering polymers business Ticona announces acetal copolymer price increases from April 15

FFLORENCE, Kentucky, SULZBACH, Germany and SHANGHAI , March 26, 2012 (press release) – Ticona, the engineering polymers business of Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE), today announced it is raising prices globally for acetal copolymer (POM) products effective with all shipments beginning April 15, 2012, or as contracts allow:

  • North America and South America: $0.10 per pound, and higher for specialty grades
  • Europe, Middle East and Africa: €0.20 per kilogram, and higher for specialty grades
  • Asia-Pacific Region: USD $0.20 per kilogram, and higher for specialty grades
