India-based NALCO raises aluminum prices by more than 2,000 Indian rupees/tonne for all products following increase of 1,500 Indian rupees/tonne in January; company official said prices were increased on higher global prices

LOS ANGELES , February 2, 2012 () – India’s National Aluminium Co. (NALCO) raised aluminum prices by more than 2,000 Indian rupees (US$40.8) per tonne for all products, Reuters reported on Feb. 2.

NALCO’s commercial director, Ansuman Das, said the prices were raised after prices increased overseas.

NALCO increased prices by 1,500 Indian rupees per tonne on Jan. 13.
