DAWSONVILLE, Georgia , January 16, 2012 (press release) – AmeriVap Systems, the industry pioneer in industrial steam cleaning technology using dry vapor, has announced a theme of “Sustainability in Packaging” for the West Pack trade show in Anaheim, February 14-16, 2012. Sustainability targets can mean many things to many people, but for AmeriVap it centers around chemical elimination, and of more importance recently, water conservation.

“We have seen water conservation and waste water reduction as the number one topic on everyone’s minds these days,” states Marty Hurdt, AmeriVap’s Corporate Sanitarian and Industrial Sales Manager. “Other sustainability targets are important, but water has moved to the forefront.”

The company, which sells industrial steam cleaning units under its Xtreme Steam line, is preparing special materials to hand out at the West Pack trade show to provide more information on its products as well as point out some shortfalls of existing cleaning methods where water is concerned.

Indeed, AmeriVap produced a special webinar in its webinar series devoted specifically to this issue. This webinar can be viewed at the company’s website under its archived webcasts.

In addition, the company recently unveiled its TruBlū Steam unit, developed over the past few years in response to customers who needed extra high heat and the lowest possible moisture for critical cleaning applications. The new unit in the Xtreme Steam line 500 reaches degrees internally and approximately 320 degrees at the point of contact. Applications for such dry heat vary from critical pharmaceutical and neutraceutical operations to the semi-conductor industry. For industries like food packaging, it is typical to have a three prong effort to kill harmful pathogenic bacteria: chemicals, dwell time of the chemicals, and proper temperature. The TruBlū Steam turns this on its ear: chemicals are no longer needed, dwell time is cut to seconds, and temperature is, well, extreme. In fact, with pathogen death at 165 degrees, 100% bacterial kills are all but certain all the while using only 1% moisture.

AmeriVap Systems, the industry pioneer in dry steam vapor cleaning, is committed to delivering environmentally friendly fully sustainable cleaning solutions to industries as diverse as food processing and packaging to the pharmaceutical industry.
