LOS ANGELES , January 12, 2012 () – The Association of American Railroads reported Jan. 12 that major U.S. railroads originated 6,313 pulp, paper and allied products carloads for the week ended Jan. 7, up 3% year-over-year while major Canadian railroads originated 3,512 carloads of the same commodity, down 6.3% over the same period.
