Borouge has ordered a KraussMaffei Berstorff pipe extrusion line for its new Innovation Centre in Abu Dhabi, PRW.com reported Nov. 1.
Borouge will use its extrusion line for development testing of polyolefin materials, including HDPE, LDPE, polypropylene (PP) random copolymer and PP/wood flour composite.
The line will run at a speed of between 2.8-100 meters per minute.
The new Innovation Centre will collaborate with the company’s customers, Borealis’ innovation centers, and educational institutions to develop film and moulding applications as well as pipe extrusion, which will serve the infrastructure, automotive and advanced packaging industries.
The company will add operations on wire and cable applications in the future.
