LOS ANGELES , October 24, 2011 () – According to a report in the newspaper Expansion, Coca-Cola has asked its seven Spanish bottlers to merge in order to simplify its business structure, Bloomberg reported Oct. 24.

According to sources cited in the newspaper article, discussions of a merger might have started. The process wouldn’t involve any changes in production areas.
