– New customer increases the company’s activities in the industrial sack market
Klabin, the leading manufacturer of packaging paper and board, corrugated boxes and industrial sacks, has just won a new customer in the segment of industrial sacks. The M. Dias Branco mill is one of the Country’s leaders in the segment of wheat milling and flour production, with plants in Natal, Fortaleza, Salvador and Cabedelo (metropolitan region of João Pessoa).
The partnership between the companies was made official at the beginning of the month at the Cabedelo plant with the presence of the Vice-Governor of Paraiba, Senhor Romulo Jose de Gouveia. For the Director of M. Dias Branco, Luiz Eugênio Lopes Pontes, “this partnership with Klabin will renovate the mill’s packaging, add value to products and consequently benefit the business”.
As of now, M. Dias Branco’s three wheat flour lines, Medalha de Ouro, Fina Mix and Imperial Mix, can count on Klabin’s paper sacks with welded sleeve. The new system was installed at the Cabedelo plant, but the solution has to be applied throughout the entire distribution network of M. Dias Branco.
Fernando Bruno, Klabin’s Sales Manager, stresses that “Klabin invests in the development of innovative solutions for customers in the sack and packaging segment, so as to bring benefits to manufacturers’ processes and be more practical for consumers”.
Klabin has a wide range of models of sacks with openings which make it easy to fill with manual or high speed automatic machines. Moreover, they can be supplied with barriers which give the packaged contents total protection and, after filling, make easy and stable stacking.
Since they are 100% biodegradable, recyclable and produced with raw material from planted forests, Klabin’s packages are environmentally correct. Products are also certified by the FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®), which attests to businesses that extract forest resources in a proper manner, while respecting social, environmental and economic standards.
Klabin, which is the biggest producer, exporter and recycler of paper in Brazil, turned 112 years old in April. It is the leading manufacturer of packaging paper and board, corrugated boxes and industrial sacks and also sells timber in logs. It has 17 industrial plants in Brazil and one in Argentina.
