NEUMARKT/BERLIN, Germany , November 29, 2010 (press release) – Two subsidiaries belonging to Pfleiderer AG (ISIN DE 0006764749), wodego and Pergo, have agreed on sales cooperation in Germany and Austria. wodego will expand its offering with products from the Swedish specialist in multi-layer HPL flooring. “We are opening up new market segments outside our core business of sales through specialist flooring outlets,” stated Vice President of Sales Torbjoern Linge with regard to the agreement. Internationally, Pergo’s products are seen as the epitome of premium flooring; the brand is associated with a maximum of product quality, design expertise and excellent service. “An optimal partner for us,” stated wodego’s Head of Sales and Marketing Ulrich Schmitz: “And more added value for wholesalers, retailers and project managers.”

Strong triad for distribution, tradesmen and the project business
In the future, surface-finished particleboard from wodego can be better marketed in color combinations using the same decorative patterns as high-pressure laminates from Duropal and superior flooring from Pergo. “Now that wodego will include Pergo in its product offering, architects, project planners and tradesmen will have the advantage of one-stop shopping for everything they need for interior fitting in terms of engineered wood – with all-round expertise, no complications, and optimal coordination,” explained Schmitz.

Not least, this will be to the benefit of wodego’s partners in distribution, for whom Pergo as a well-known flooring brand will attract new customers and create additional purchasing incentives. Through wodego, distributors will gain access to Pergo’s complete product portfolio. That product range is organized in the product categories of multi-layer laminate flooring and vinyl sheets on an HDF board with the patented PerfectFold laying system, which in turn are available in various qualities. This makes Pergo flooring suitable for both private and commercial applications.

wodego now gaining ground with flooring
With Pergo products in its portfolio, wodego can offer the wood trade some pioneering innovations: Thanks to the PerfectFold connecting system for example, Pergo flooring panels can be locked together using a simple fold-down technique. Other unrivaled features are the TitanX Advanced scratchprotected surface, which provides Pergo’s laminate flooring with even more brilliance and decorative luster, as well as the special cushioning SoftTech layer and Pergo’s patented antistatic technology. Currently, Pergo is premiering its new Vinyl Planks & Tiles collection and the innovative “Pergo quickheat” floor-heating system.

wodego presents pioneering new developments at the BAU trade fair
“With Pergo, we are literally making ground with flooring,” stated Schmitz, while promising further new products for the coming year. wodego plans to present those new products to the public at the BAU construction trade fair to be held from January 17 to 22. The companies will also share trade-fair stands at Euroshop and Interzum.
