LOS ANGELES , June 20, 2014 () – National Flexible Ltd. and Confection By Design Ltd. have teamed up to create a flexible pack for Tesco Plc’s confectionery Finest line using design elements typically only used with paperboard cartons, Bdaily Business News reported June 18.

Made of film and brown kraft paper, the flexible quad pack features a registered window and hot foil logo. The registered window allows for the treats to be seen and silver hot foil was applied to the “Tesco Finest” logo.

The design elements, which are easily available in carton format, have never been done before, according to Confection By Design Product Manager Jane Holmes.

National Flexible and Confection By Design teamed up to meet the requests of a brief from Tesco, which wanted to make the product more appealing to a wider market as a ‘self treat.’
