Former NewPage paper mill site in Kimberly, Wisconsin, being eyed by city for redevelopment; preliminary plan calls for turning the 98-acre parcel, now owned by AIM Development, into a mix of residential and commercial uses

KIMBERLY, Wisconsin , November 15, 2013 () – The village of Kimberly has revealed its preliminary plans for the former NewPage paper mill site.

The paper plant closed about five years ago. Now the village wants to revitalize the 98-acre site with a mix of residential and commercial development. The plans include single-family homes, townhouses, apartments, office buildings, restaurants and retail shops.

The site is owned by AIM Development, which is working with the village and other developers. WLUK-TV (http://bit.ly/1asDSTP ) reports the cost and timetable for the development have not been made public.
