WIPO publishes patent by Iceland-based plastics manufacturer Promens for rigid plastic container with flexible bag system for collecting and dispensing liquid or pasty material without taking in air

GENEVA , October 24, 2013 (U.S. Fed News) – Publication No. WO/2013/153297 was published on Oct. 17.

Title of the invention: "CONTAINER, IN PARTICULAR A WIDE-MOUTHED JAR, FOR CONTAINING A LIQUID OR PASTY MATERIAL AND COMBINED WITH A SYSTEM FOR COLLECTING AND DISPENSING WITHOUT TAKING IN AIR."

Applicants: PROMENS SA (FR).

Inventors: Jesus Reyes Serrato (ES), Jaume Tobias Franco (ES) and Pascal Hennemann (FR).

According to the abstract* posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization: "The present invention relates to a container (1) for containing a liquid or pasty material (2), which is combined with a system (3) for collecting and dispensing without taking in air, said container (1) being rigid and comprising a flexible bag (4) which contains the material (2) to be dispensed and which is combined with the collecting system (3), characterized in that the bag (4) is produced separately from the rigid container (1) and consists of an overall cylindrical store (6) which is open at the top portion thereof and which is divided into four areas defined by a rigid upper sidewall (9), a lower peripheral end edge of which forms a rigid cord (16) for connection to a flexible deformable lower sidewall (17), axially extending from said cord to an area (19) for coupling and hinging the flexible lower side wall to a rigid base (18) having a diameter that is smaller than the diameter of the thus-formed store (6), said base (18), upon a so-called upward action for collecting the material, which is performed in the manner of a piston, engages with the flexible wall (17) while forcing the latter to turn in on itself."
