LOS ANGELES , May 18, 2012 () – Kraft Foods Inc. said that effective immediately, it would be reducing its prices on several of its U.S. coffee products, Dow Jones Newswires reported May 18.

Kraft cut prices by 6% on its Maxwell House and Yuban roast and ground coffee brands, and by 10% on its Gevalia roast and ground coffee sold in retail outlets.

Also, the company implemented a 4% price reduction for non-flavored instant coffees, other than products sold under the Maxwell House International brand.

Sustained decreases in green-coffee costs are the main reason for the price reduction, a company spokeswoman said.
