Ocean transporter, supply chain management provider Purfresh appoints Armando Galue, previous manager for Hamburg Sud North America, as Manager South America and Miguel Gomez, previous director of sales at Hapag-Lloyd, as Manager Central America, Mexico

FREMONT, California , March 20, 2012 (press release) – Purfresh, Inc., a market leader of ocean transport and supply chain management technologies that optimize the quality and safety of fresh produce as it moves around the world from the farm to the consumer, today announced expansion in Latin America with the appointment of Mr. Armando Galue as Manager, South America and Mr. Miguel Gomez as Manager, Central America and Mexico.

Latin America continues to be a key market for the Purfresh Transport technology, protecting the quality of berries, citrus, melons, tropical fruit, and stone fruit exported out of Central America, Mexico, and South America to Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. With more than 25 years' experience in the ocean transportation industry, as Manager of South America at Purfresh, Mr. Galue will expand and build upon the Company's customer base. Previously, Mr. Galue was sales manager for Hamburg Sud North America, where he managed a portfolio of key account including Chiquita, Del Monte Fresh Produce, and JF Hillebrand. Before Hamburg Sud North America, Mr. Galue held management positions for Hamburg Sud de Venezuela, Crowley American Transport de Venezuela, and H.L Boulton & Co., S.A.

Also a long-time industry veteran, Mr. Gomez was director of sales and customer service for Hapag-Lloyd before joining Purfresh. During his tenure at Hapag-Lloyd, he was responsible for logistics, operations, and commercial managing of owned offices and third-party agencies in Central America. Previously, Mr. Gomez served as sales director for CP Ships, where he managed the Mexico territory. As Manager, Central America and Mexico for Purfresh, Mr. Gomez will continue to develop the region.
