Tsingtao Brewery to invest US$317M to build base in China's Lushan district

LOS ANGELES , March 15, 2012 () – The Tsingtao Brewery Co. Ltd. announced that it plans to invest US$317.14 million in a beer production base in the Lushan district of China, China Daily reported on March 14.

The new base will be the 61th production base for the company, which is the sixth-largest beer producer in the world. The new facility is estimated to produce up to 1.58 billion gallons a year. Construction is set to begin in May and finish during the first half of 2013.
