Staples raises its quarterly dividend 10% to US$0.11 per share, payable April 12

FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts , March 7, 2012 (press release) – Staples, Inc. SPLS +0.09% announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend on Staples, Inc. common stock of $0.11 per share, an increase of 10 percent over the previous quarterly cash dividend of $0.10 per share. On an annualized basis, the quarterly dividend is equal to $0.44 per share compared to $0.40 per share that the Company paid in 2011. The dividend is payable on April 12, 2012, to shareholders of record on March 23, 2012.
