Yum Brands expects to have strong year in U.S., hoping for 5% growth rate in nation, CEO says; China represents company's biggest retail opportunity

LOS ANGELES , February 28, 2012 () – Yum Brands Inc. CEO David Novak said he expects his company to have a strong year in the U.S. and is laying the groundwork for sustainable growth in the nation, USA Today reported Feb. 27.

Novak said the company is hoping for a 5% growth rate in the U.S. Meanwhile, he said, China is Yum’s biggest retail opportunity, with the biggest challenges in the nation being having leading restaurant brands and building the people capability that will accelerate and drive growth.
