Russia’s grain exports were more than 15 million tonnes from July through November, which included 12.8 million tonnes of wheat and 1.7 million tonnes of barley, according to Rusagrotrans, Bloomberg reported Dec. 21.
Exports totaled nearly 2.6 million tonnes in November and Russia is expected to ship an additional 2.5 million tonnes in December, the country’s largest grain carrier by rail said in a Dec. 15 report.
The country’s five largest grain exporters by volume made up 43% of shipments during the first five months of the marketing season that began July 1, Rusagrotrans said.
