Consumer products manufacturer Spectrum Brands Holdings Inc. will invest US$40 million in its Wisconsin operations and hire up to 60 people to fill positions at its Madison, Wisconsin, corporate headquarters, Area Development Online reported Nov. 30.
In return, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. will give Spectrum US$4 million as a reward if it retains 470 jobs in the Madison area and spends at least US$40 million on capital investments.
“We appreciate this award… as we have made a commitment to retain our headquarters and operations in Wisconsin and invest in our future in the state,” said Spectrum's CEO Dave Lumley.
