LOS ANGELES , November 14, 2011 () – Kraft Foods might consider selling its Planters business, perhaps to ConAgra Foods, according to Credit Suisse, The Wall Street Journal reported Nov. 14.

As Kraft works through splitting itself into two parts, the company recently decided that Planters nuts would be a part of its North American grocery business.

Selling Planters would spare Kraft the trouble of moving Planters’ New Jersey headquarters, Credit Suisse said.

A Kraft spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.
