LOS ANGELES , November 7, 2011 () – Newsprint suppliers in Italy said demand for their product rose in October as retailers chased weak consumer demand by ordering more advertising inserts, Euwid reported Nov. 2.

The increased advertising strengthened demand from commercial printers, somewhat offsetting the stable or declining demand from traditional publishers, Euwid reported.

Most Italian suppliers were reportedly satisfied with the October newsprint market.
