Suzano appoints Alberto Monteiro de Queiroz Netto to CFO, in addition to current position as investor relations officer, replacing Bernardo Szpigel, effective immediately

SAO PAULO , September 26, 2011 (press release) – In compliance with the Company’s succession plan, Suzano Papel e Celulose hereby informs the market of the following changes to its Executive Management:

After sixteen years being responsible for the most important financial and strategic decisions that helped Suzano Papel e Celulose to grow and become one of the most important companies in the pulp and paper industry, Bernardo Szpigel will no longer be the Company’s Chief Financial Officer due to his retirement. Bernardo Szpigel will continue to take part in the Company’s strategic projects, particularly the Productivity project, as a part- time advisor, in addition to offering support during the succession transition period.

As of September 26, 2011, Alberto Monteiro de Queiroz Netto takes over the position of Chief Financial Officer, in addition to his current responsibilities as Investor Relations Officer. In the last two years, Mr. Queiroz has worked as Chief Financial Officer at CSN, and as a member of the board of directors at Congonhas Minérios, NAMISA, Itá Energética S.A., Itaguaí Logística and Transnordestina S.A. Before joining CSN, Mr. Queiroz worked for 26 years at Banco do Brasil, in various important positions, such as: Chief Financial Officer at the Banco do Brasil S.A., CEO at BB DTVM – Asset Management, CEO at BESC DTVM – Administradora de Recursos. He was also member of the Board of Directors of Distribuidora de Petróleo Petrobahia, Companhia de Eletricidade da Bahia (COELBA), Neoenergia S.A. and BESC Dtvm S.A., also member of the Fiscal Council at Gerdau, Cielo (Ex-Visanet), Coelba and Cosern. Mr. Queiroz has a degree in business administration from Faculdade de Ciências Política Econômicas do Rio de Janeiro, holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from FGV and completed a specialization in Banking from the University of São Paulo (FEA/USP).

The succession process is another important step for the Company’s growth, maintaining its focus on clients, capital market and leadership building.
