U.S.-based Andalou Naturals has launched a line of natural cosmetic and personal care products that use apple and grape stem-cell science, reported CosmeticsDesign.com USA on Aug. 18.
Using two types of fruit stem cells, Solar Vitis and Malus domestica, this range of products is able to “repair, renew and regenerate” skin cells, Andalou Naturals claims.
The company’s products also meet the 70% certified organic ingredient criteria, as they are made with organic, natural, fair trade and biologically-active ingredients, CosmeticsDeisign.com USA reported.
The fruit stem cell science in the products guards the skin against such aging factors are ultraviolet and oxidative stress, while “repairing skin’s DNA to combat the visible signs of aging,” according to the company.
In the Solar Vitis fruit stem cells, which come from the rare Gamay Teinturier Freaux grape, antioxidants and free-radical scavengers called anthocyanins help protect the skin, reported CosmeticsDeisign.com USA.
The Malus Domestica fruit stem cells, which come from the Uttwiler Spatlauber apple varietal, have high levels of phyto-nutrients, proteins and long-living cells. This makes dormant skin cells act like younger cells, ultimately promoting age-delaying protection, said the company.
Andalou Naturals, which is headquartered in Novato, California, makes products in skin, hair and body care, including masks, cleansers, toners, scrubs, shampoos, conditioners, shower gels and body creams, CosmeticsDeisign.com USA reported.
