Workers at Coastal Lumber who were affected by a company-wide shut down last week can get help with unemployment and support services at Rapid Response meetings coordinated by WorkForce West Virginia. The meetings will be held Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the Aurora Volunteer Fire Department in Aurora, WV.
Services provided by Rapid Response include assistance with filing unemployment claims and information on transition and re-employment services. WorkForce West Virginia can also help with resume writing, money for training, and other valuable resources.
“Our goal is to help people move on to the next step in their lives and get them back into the workforce as quickly as possible,” says Russell Fry, acting executive director of WorkForce West Virginia.
