LOS ANGELES , August 16, 2011 () – The level of demand in Germany for recycled corrugated case material was slow in mid-August but industry members said it is not unusual for the season, Euwid reported Aug. 16.

The paper and corrugated board industry is described as cautiously optimistic as it waits for the effects of recent world financial events to show themselves in the market. However, some concern was evident about a possible negative effect from consumer pessimism.

Sales activity in the last week of August are expected to allow forecasts of September business, said industry participants, Euwid reported.
