ICVCM announces first CCP labels for landfill gases and ozone-depleting substances; eight projects rated, with 31 more pending assessment.

  • Landfill gases and ozone-depleting substances are the first two activity types announced as CCP-eligible by the ICVCM, with specific requirements set on the scale of projects and the methodology version applied.

  • BeZero Carbon has rated eight projects now eligible for the CCP label, ranging from ‘BBB’ to ‘BB’, all in the Landfill gas sub-sector. Within the two eligible sub-sectors, BeZero has rated a further 31 projects ranging from ‘A’ to ‘D’ that have not yet been included in the ICVCM assessment. 

  • More announcements are expected from the ICVCM over the summer on industrial and landfill gases, followed by forestry, sustainable agriculture, and renewable energy.
