Cigna Healthcare has named Brent Hunter as general manager for its group employer business in MidAmerica, which spans Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. “Brent has a strong track record of developing deep stakeholder relationships that further advance our position as the preferred healthcare partner of choice,” said Kristin Jordal, Regional Vice President, Cigna Healthcare. “With Brent’s leadership, Cigna Healthcare is well-positioned to continue delivering on our mission to improve the health and vitality of those we serve in our MidAmerica market.” Brent brings nearly three decades of industry experience to Cigna Healthcare. He was with Aetna for 25 years, most recently serving as Executive Director for Public and Labor, MidAmerica. Brent resides in Overland Park, Kan. and will be based at Cigna Healthcare’s Kansas City office. In this role, Brent will be responsible for driving market growth for client employers with under 3,000 employees by creating customer value and ensuring that the local market strategy, product and network offerings meet evolving customer and client needs. He will also work with the markets’ network leaders, medical executives and others to advance outreach in the communities Cigna Healthcare serves.
