The first PMA Southern New England/CTMA Conference and Suppliers expo took place in Rocky Hill, CT, on Tuesday May 14 and was a big success with more than 130 attendees and exhibitors.

An exclusive group of 25 suppliers to the metalforming, tooling and machining industries showcased their capabilities and presented the latest technologies and services to manufacturers from Connecticut and across the Southern New England region.

In addition to the exhibits, there were several breakout sessions presented throughout the day by experts on topics of importance to all manufacturers. Some of the presentations covered:

Cybersecurity in manufacturing
Additive manufacturing for tool and die
Lean six sigma principles
Connecticut state funding and the apprenticeship program
The state of manufacturing in Connecticut, and the impact of the upcoming elections on manufacturers.
