Sample article from our Government & Public Policy

March 29, 2023 (press release) –

We would like to share our support for the letter Plastics Europe, together with 30 associations from across the European plastics value chain, has sent to the European Commission. It urges the adoption of an EU-harmonised rule for calculating chemically recycled content to help reach EU recycled content targets. In our strong view:

  • Alongside mechanical recycling, chemical recycling is essential to making a circular economy a reality for demanding applications such as food contact and medical devices
  • A mass-balance approach enables co-processing of circular and fossil fuel feedstocks, which is a key step in the transition to a circular economy
  • And a clear legislative framework is needed asap to enable the kind of investments that will make it viable at scale

Go to the Plastics Europe website to read the letter.
