Initiation of the Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Investigations of Certain Tungsten Shot from China On August 7, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) announced the initiation of antidumping and countervailing duty (AD/CVD) investigations of certain tungsten shot from the People’s Republic of China (China). Alleged Subsidy Rates *de minimis = less than 1% for developed countries, less than 2% for developing countries Case Calendar NOTE: Commerce’s preliminary and final determination deadlines are governed by statute. For AD investigations, the deadlines are set forth in sections 733(b) and 735(a) of the Act. These deadlines may be extended under certain circumstances. Import Statistics Source: U.S. Census Bureau, accessed through S&P Global Trade Atlas (Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) subheading 9306.29.0000). Imports of certain tungsten shot enter under HTSUS subheadings that may cover subject and non-subject merchandise. Therefore, publicly available import data may not accurately reflect actual imports of tungsten shot covered by the scope of the investigations.
