San Diego Padres secure top Wild Card spot; hospitality partner Delaware North unveils new postseason menu items at Petco Park for 2024 playoffs

SAN DIEGO (Oct. 1, 2024) – The San Diego Padres secured the top Wild Card spot, and hospitality partner Delaware North is ready to help the team Fight for the Faithful with several exciting new menu additions for the postseason.

“We’re bringing the postseason energy into our kitchens,” said Dan Butler, Delaware North’s general manager at Petco Park. “Executive Chef Phil Dumlao and his team have created some delicious specials to help fans fuel up for the playoffs.”

Postseason culinary highlights at Petco Park include:

  • Baked Friar: Deep-fried, breaded baked potato skin topped with whipped mashed potatoes, house carnitas, bacon crumbles, shack queso, cotija cheese, guacamole, pickled red onion, chipotle aioli, taquero salsa and micro cilantro. Available at Carnitas Snack Shack 128, Seaside Market in Section 105 and The Draft by Ballast Point.
  • Cali Torta: Carne asada on a bolillo bun with fuego sauce, Diego queso, cheddar cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, pickled red onion and crunchy shoestring potato stix. Available at Park at the Park Ballpark Eats on the Tony Gwynn Terrace in Gallagher Square.
  • Carne Asada Cali Big Dawg: A 2-1 big dog and carne asada on an amoroso roll, topped with fuego sauce, Diego queso, guacamole, cotija cheese, pickled red onion and crunchy shoestring potato stix. Available at Park at the Park Ballpark Eats on the Tony Gwynn Terrace in Gallagher Square.
  • Pollo Guisado Rice Bowl: Lime arroz blanco, black bean sofrito, braised chicken, chicharron, avocado, green olives, fried plantain and guisado sauce. Available at Seaside Market in Section 105 and The Draft by Ballast Point.
  • Lumpia Three Ways – All available at Seaside Market in Section 105 and The Draft by Ballast Point:
    • Game 1 – Bacon Cheeseburger Lumpia: Seasoned beef, smoked bacon, chopped pickles, grilled onions and “Philthy” sauce.
    • Game 2 – Mozzarella Stick Lumpia: Breaded mozzarella-stuffed lumpia with pizza sauce.
