Food Maker names Tarkan Gürkan Chief Financial Officer; creates role for International Market Development Chobani today announced two executive leadership appointments, effective immediately. Tarkan Gürkan was named Chief Financial Officer. Kenneth Bishop was appointed to the new role of Senior Vice President International Market Development. “I have known Tarkan for years, and for the past three months, he successfully served as our Interim Chief Financial Officer. I am happy to have him on board full-time and excited to have Ken join the Chobani family,” commented Hamdi Ulukaya, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Chobani. “I am immensely proud of what we have built at Chobani and am pleased to have Tarkan and Ken as part of the team that will lead us into our next phase of growth. Prior to joining Chobani, Gürkan was Chief Investment Officer at Shepherd Futures, LLC. Before that, he was Senior Vice President, Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions, at PepsiCo responsible for leading, sourcing and the execution of M&As and partnerships. He previously served as Vice President, Corporate Development, at Campbell Soup Company. Gürkan also held financial leadership positions at Lehman Brothers Inc. and Nabisco Holdings Corp. He received his MBA from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and his bachelor’s degree from Boğaziçi University. As SVP of International Market Development, Bishop will help develop a strategy for Chobani’s expansion into international markets. Currently, Chobani manufactures and distributes products in the U.S. and Australia, and exports products to some countries in Asia and Latin America. Based in Singapore, Bishop brings extensive consumer goods and private equity experience to Chobani. He has been assisting companies expand globally for more than 15 years – including Facebook and Juul Labs. Bishop also serves as an External Advisor at Bain & Company, a top management consulting firm, and is an active angel investor. He received his bachelor’s degree from Miami University.
