Five years ago, the first Chick-fil-A Supply distribution center in Cartersville, Georgia, made its first delivery to a Chick-fil-A® restaurant in the same town. It marked an exciting start for the innovative distribution service provider focused on understanding and meeting the unique needs of Chick-fil-A restaurants.
Read below for five things to know about Chick-fil-A Supply and how it supports Chick-fil-A restaurants.
1. Chick-fil-A Supply ensures restaurants have the food and products they need through a seamless delivery experience that extends the Chick-fil-A culture of care. Through the end of 2024, Chick-fil-A Supply will make deliveries to more than 1,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants.
2. The wholly owned subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc. will have nine distribution centers by the end of 2024, located in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Ohio, Kansas and Texas.
3. When a distribution center opens, Chick-fil-A, Inc. donates $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts through a Feeding America partner food bank in that area. This connects back to Chick-fil-A’s broader commitment to fight hunger and address food insecurity.
4. Chick-fil-A Supply can innovate to address restaurants’ distribution complexities, such as frequent, high-volume deliveries, varied delivery environments and rapidly evolving needs. These learnings can be applied across Chick-fil-A’s full distribution network, which also includes partner distributors.
5. Chick-fil-A Supply has created 1,000 jobs in communities where its nine distribution centers are located. It also provides opportunities for development and growth. For example, the Cartersville distribution center sends Transportation Team Members to truck driving school each year, helping them advance to licensed driving roles.
