Published Grand opening in Mooresville marks twelve locations in the state, with several coffeehouses planned to open later this year MINNEAPOLIS, MN – July 23, 2024 – Caribou Coffee®, a global coffee brand with community-centered coffeehouses, celebrated the opening of a new location in Mooresville, North Carolina on Monday, July 15. As the brand continues to expand nationwide, this opening is the second new location to open in the state this year. There are now twelve Caribou Coffee locations in North Carolina, with additional coffeehouses planned to open by the end of the year, several of which are in the Charlotte metro area. With over 800 coffeehouses in 11 countries, Caribou has made significant progress in its retail expansion plan through company-owned development as well as its previously announced franchise program that should double domestic locations in the coming years. The Midwest-based brand has celebrated several recent openings in new and existing markets through both company and franchisee-owned development, opening coffeehouses in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Minnesota in the last year. Through a recently expanded development agreement with current franchisees, similar coffeehouse development is expected internationally.
