PARSIPANNY, N.J., U.S.A. – October 5, 2023 – Sun Chemical has launched a portfolio of biocide-free Xfast® dry stir-in colorants. Known for its high purity and excellent quality, Xfast products already provide an established standard for paints with eco-label requirements. Optimized for the waterborne systems of eco-label proof coatings, the new biocide-free Xfast product line lifts the dry stir-in class of colorants to the next level. “At Sun Chemical we’re focused on developing solutions for our customers that help them navigate the current environmental landscape,” said Daniel Müller, Senior Business Development Manager of Color Materials for Coatings at Sun Chemical. “We are starting to see some regulators in Europe push for biocide-free formulations in their paints and our customers are increasingly formulating in ways to reduce or prevent the usage of biocides. The dry delivery form prevents sedimentation and drying out while providing flexibility through a very long shelf life.
