Avient Showcases Sustainable Technologies at Plastpol 2024

KIELCE, Poland – May 21, 2024 – Avient Corporation is pleased to announce it will exhibit its latest innovations at Plastpol 2024 today through May 24, providing sustainable and specialized materials solutions and services for the plastics industry. The exposition is Central and Eastern Europe's most prominent event for the plastics processing industry.

Avient will be featuring many of its latest sustainability technologies that can improve the customer experience of working with post-consumer recycled (PCR) content and support the use of PCR materials in packaging, including:

• Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) Color Prediction Service - a digital service using sophisticated technology to help illustrate the color possibilities or limitations of certain types of PCR for customers, including polyolefins and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resins. This can help simplify the overall decision-making process for brand owners and technical colorists and shorten the time-to-launch of new product ranges.
• The Additives for Recycling (A4R) portfolio, including Cesa™ Unify™ A4R and Cesa™ Nox A4R – with formulations that play a crucial role in aiding compatibilization and protecting post-consumer polyolefins against oxidation, which can lead to defects like black spots, gels, and discoloration. By incorporating such additives early in the recycling process or blending them with virgin resin, the degradation of material can be significantly reduced, ensuring the quality and performance of recycled plastics. These technologies also help extend the lifespan of recycled materials and promote a circular economy by enabling multiple recycling loops.  

Sustainability experts from Avient will be on hand to help address recycling challenges in packaging, drawing on research conducted at Avient’s CycleWorks™ Innovation Center that focuses on mechanical recycling challenges and solutions.  

Avient will exhibit in booth D-48 in Hall D at Plastpol 2024 in Targi Kielce, Poland, from May 21-24, 2024.
