The Avient Color and Additives team for LATAM will showcase sustainable solutions and services for consumer goods and packaging at the ABRE Sustainability Forum in São Paulo, Brazil.

SÃO PAULO, Brazil – April 24, 2024 – Avient Corporation is pleased to announce that its Color and Additives team in Latin America (LATAM) will showcase its portfolio of specialized and sustainable materials solutions and services at the ABRE Sustainability Forum. The event, taking place today and tomorrow, is an international gathering that aims to promote sustainability for the packaging industry and consumers.  

Avient will highlight solutions and services for lightweighting, recycling, biopolymers, and more, including:  

• Hydrocerol™ Chemical Foaming Agents: polymer additives typically used in consumer goods and automotive components to reduce part weight, enabling processors to use 10 to 20% less plastic when creating parts that are visually identical to heavier, solid-walled alternatives
• ColorMatrix™ SmartHeat™: liquid dispersion process aids that can improve the recyclability of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles with minimal impact on aesthetics
• OnColor™ Bio Colorants: polymer colorants that offer a wide array of bio-derived color concentrates and perform well with bioplastics
• Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculator: a service to enable customers to determine the carbon footprint of their solutions and help evaluate which sustainable solutions can offer a lower environmental impact  
• Color Prediction Service: a digital tool developed to illustrate the color possibilities or limitations of certain post-consumer recycled (PCR) content before sample development to help simplify the overall decision-making process for brand owners and technical colorists
