Bruks Siwertell will shortly deliver a Bruks truck-receiving system and a radial stacker to EGGER Wood Products’ particleboard production plant in Linwood, North Carolina, USA. The new equipment has been ordered to expand capacity at the facility and will join two similar Bruks systems, which were commissioned in 2020. “We are delighted that EGGER has opted to install a third package of Bruks technology at the plant,” says Christopher Duffy, Sales Manager, Bruks Siwertell. “This is an important repeat contract and demonstrates the trust that EGGER has in the equipment to achieve its plans for growth.” EGGER Wood Products LLC is part of Austrian-based EGGER Group, which operates 20 wood-panel production plants in ten countries. The Linwood facility is EGGER’s first North American plant, specializing in particleboard manufacturing with lamination capabilities. Like its predecessors, the new 300t/h truck-receiving system comprises a back-on truck dumper with a covered receiving hopper, and an 8,000 metric ton storage capacity radial stacker. “Efficiency and low dust emissions are two key advantages that our systems deliver,” adds Duffy. “We were also able to deliver the entire equipment package in six months.” Designed to handle a variety of wood-based products including wood chips, sawdust, dry shavings and scrap wood, such as broken pallets, the complete system will be manufactured in North America and is planned for operation by the beginning of 2023.
