The museum and exhibition centre of Uralkali was included in the Top 10 of the first national ranking of corporate museums. The competition was arranged by the Ministry of Culture and the Russian Committee of the International Council of Museums and assessed 112 corporate museums over a period from 2018 to 2022.

Uralkali’s centre won in two nominations — Talent Development and Public Recognition — and was also short-listed in the Breakthrough of the Year category.

Irina Konstantinova, Uralkali Head of HR and Communications:

The recognition of Uralkali’s corporate museum is a confirmation of its uniqueness and social value — not only for residents of Berezniki and Solikamsk, but for the whole country. Our museum is the only facility in Russia that unfolds the history of the Verkhnekamskoye potassium and magnesium salt deposit and describes the birth and development of the potash industry in Russia.

Uralkali’s museum and exhibition centre is a modern platform for interactive vocational guidance events, presentations, video lectures, corporate quests, master classes, tours and family games. The centre includes two museums in Berezniki and Solikamsk.

The potash museum in Solikamsk was opened in 1933 and renovated in 2021. The exhibition space measuring 450 m2 hosts 23,000 exhibits including around 1,000 unique articles, six signature dioramas and installations, and 20 multimedia complexes.

The museum in Berezniki was originally launched in 1993 and renovated in 2013. With an exhibition area of 524 m2, the museum features collections of surveying and geological equipment, paleontological and geological arrays, historical documents, and a number of multimedia and VR-assisted installations.

Uralkali (www.uralkali.com) is one of the world’s largest potash producers and exporters. The Company’s assets consist of 5 mines and 7 ore treatment plants in the towns of Berezniki and Solikamsk (Perm Region, Russia). Uralkali employs more than 13,300 people in the main production unit.
