Turkmenistan to sell its paper mill to OJSC Hilli Alýumin, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs; sale is in line with country's privatization program that seeks to attract investment

June 18, 2014 () – A paper manufacturing plant of Turkmenistan will be sold to the OJSC Hilli Alýumin, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The corresponding decree was signed by President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov.

Privatization of state property is aimed to play an important role in attracting investment.

The move is held in the framework of the state privatization program of enterprises and state-owned facilities for 2013-2016, and the action plan for the privatization of these facilities.

The process will take place in accordance with the law on denationalization and privatization of state property.
